Kilauea Message 2025-08-04 06:08:34 HST: Lava rose in the north vent and overflowed with very little fountaining at 5:51 AM. This was followed by a drainback of lava from the vent at 5:59 AM indicating this was a precursory gas pistoning event.

Calling all Ka’u theater lovers!

Community theater by the community, for the community (and our kids). We are excited to bring Thornton Wilder’s classic to life right here in Ka’u.

Open auditions to be held at the Ocean View Community Center on Jan 7th & 9th from 6-8pm (you only need to attend one session). All ages welcome and no previous acting experience is required.

Sides (script pages) will be provided at the auditions, but in the meantime see comments for a link to the entire script.

Message us if you would be interested in helping with the non-acting portions of the show (sound, lights, sets, etc.). No experience required.

All show expenses are being graciously donated by the Ka’u Performing Arts Society and all proceeds collected at the shows (tickets, concessions & donations) will go directly to the Ka’u High School Drama Club.
