Camp Roganunda

Camp Roganunda Camp Roganunda is located 37 miles NW of Yakima, WA, via WA-410. For Reservation/Inquiry-call (206) 910-0466 and for our Camp caretaker (509) 658-1013

Built in 1923 on 16 acres of land leased from the U.S. Forest Service, Camp Roganunda is a Camping Facility which can be rented on a year-round basis (based on availability). Maximum capacity is 150 people. The campground facilities include a fully-equipped commercial kitchen, dining/chapel area, a large, L-shaped swimming pool, 16 sleeping cabins, director’s and staff cabins, shower facilities, s

even teepees, three campfire pits, an outdoor classroom and a rustic log-cabin lodge. The main dining hall was originally constructed in 1924, and the Kiwanis Lodge (named for the local chapter of Kiwanis International, which has long assisted in campground maintenance) completed construction in 1937. Highlighting the campground are the sights and sounds of a beautiful flowing creek that runs the length of it. Nature trails and the historic Boulder Caves are in close proximity. Thank you for letting us serve you,
Thank you for the friendships we’ve made,
Thank you for the blessings you’ve given us.
We also want to thank God for the time we shared as a family, the memories we made, the new friendships we made and for allowing us to serve here these past five years.

Our Story

Camp Roganunda is a ministry of the Church of God of Prophecy (COGOP) of Washington State. COGOP held their first summer camp on August 22-29, 1955. It was held at the then Camp Fire Girls Campground in Yakima County, WA. The first summer camp was a combination of campers from Washington and Idaho.

COGOP traveled the state for a few years looking for a permanent home. Moving from campgrounds in Sedro Woolley, WA to as far south as Lacamas, WA. We finally soon thereafter found our home of over 45 years. That home was Millersylvania State Park, 8 miles south of Olympia, WA.

As the Church of God of Prophecy’s camping ministry grew, we found ourselves going from just 1 summer camp to 4 summer camps, 2 winter retreats, and a men's retreat. So then began the prayers for our own campground. In the winter of 2012, the Lord answered our prayers. We found ourselves purchasing the campground where our camping ministry started CAMP ROGANUNDA!
