New exterior siding!❤️

Sandpiper owners have been busy this off season replacing old siding, deck rail, exterior lights and a leaky gutter. 2020 was all about updating the inside, 2021 is apparently about updating the outside! Still working on the finishing touches, but stay tuned for the finished result in a few weeks along with new pictures of our updated bathroom tile, consoles and faucets! Just a few more months til SUMMER!!❤

March rains have us dreaming (or obsessing!) of summer beach days at OBX! In our family there's a solid divide between those who love morning coffee watching the sun rise over the ocean and those who love loud board games on the screened in porch as the sun sets. What's your fav?

Sandpiper Cottage owners are very pleased to announce the completion of a much needed renovation which began early in 2020. Even though Covid slowed us down, we still managed to get everything up and running by mid June. We are very pleased with the end result and we are hope you are as well! Please visit each picture for a description of all that has been done/added to our home.

And so it begins! This weekend Sandpiper cottage owners began the first steps of a major interior update. They started with many measurements and ordering new furniture Friday night. Saturday was spent moving and donating old furniture to Goodwill. Sunday meant the beginnings of fresh paint for the whole house and finally Monday morning getting the garage prepped with pallets to receive all the furniture being delivered this week. And lastly, an awesome picture of the beach, the main reason we all generally want to be there! We hope you are as excited for these updates as we are. Please stay tuned for the big reveal in mid April!

Hi everyone! Thank you for taking the time to like and stay interested in our family rental cottage in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. We are sad to say that we did not have much of a rental season this summer due to significant damage to our cottage from last year's visit of Hurricane Matthew. The good news is that we have been hard at work and many elements of the cottage have been updated, replaced or repaired. Here is a little of what we have been up to:
1. Repaired roof
2. New exterior paint
3. New deck railings
4. Opened up space for trailers and boats beside the cottage.
5. Repaired windows, deck and screened in porch
6. Support beams of the home repaired and replaced.
Even though the summer is almost over, September and October are hands down, some of our family's favorite times to spend at the beach. Warm weather, not as crowded, great fishing and fabulous waves!! Get your booking in soon! and let us know if you have any questions!!
