🇺🇸💥 Now THAT’S how you celebrate Labor Day on the Long Beach Peninsula!

Today, Moby Dick Hotel joined the legendary Oysterville Militia for one of the Peninsula’s most unique traditions — firing the cannon in celebration of Labor Day! 💥

A little history, a very loud BOOM, and a lot of local spirit. We love being part of this special community and keeping its traditions alive.

If you’re staying with us, there’s always something interesting happening just up the road. 🐋

Happy Labor Day from the Moby Dick Hotel!

🍎 PICK YOUR OWN APPLES AT THE MOBY DICK HOTEL!

Staying with us next week? Our apple trees are loaded with fresh apples, and they’re there for our guests to enjoy!
Pick a few for a snack, take some home, or maybe make an apple pie. 🍎🥧
Just don’t wait too long…
🦌 Pick them before the deer do! They seem to think the orchard is part of their breakfast buffet. 😉

It’s one of those simple little pleasures that makes a stay at the Moby Dick Hotel special — fresh air, apples straight from the tree, and plenty of local wildlife.

Moby Dick is an inspiration for our guests!
The view from the backyard of the hotel, beautifully captures the peaceful charm of Willapa Bay.
This kind of scene definitely makes it clear why Moby Dick, on Willapa Bay has long been a haven — the tranquil environment, the variety of greens, and the interplay of water and forest are endlessly inspiring.

This month, Moby Dick hosted a team of 18 researchers from Oregon State University's Chapple Big Fish Lab who study sharks in Willapa Bay.

If you would like to support this team, you can purchase the license plate. Your purchase will directly support shark research and the education of future shark scientists.
