He’s a 20‑year‑old Morgan cross, best buds with Captain, and one of the smoothest trail horses you’ll ever ride. Like, seriously, riding him feels like sitting on a couch. 🛋️🐎

Meet Bonnie – our 3‑year‑old Mustang in training. 💪

Unlike Quinn (who was found tied to a tree), Bonnie was rounded up and rehomed by the BLM – that’s where the brand on her neck comes from. 🔥

The good news? Bonnie is super friendly. She’ll do just about anything for a treat. 🍪😊

Right now she’s learning the ropes: holding up her feet for the farrier and getting used to wearing a surcingle. Baby steps, but she’s crushing it.

We can’t wait to see what this girl becomes. ❤️

3:30pm – Drop gear at Stables
5:00pm – Trail ride departs

Important:

· Ranch horses: limited to 8 riders (owners only)

From the smallest horse to the biggest... meet Captain, one of the most recognizable faces at the ranch. 👑💪

He’s a 17‑year‑old Percheron (draft horse – bred to pull). Used to be owned by the Amish. Now he’s a steady, trusted member of our trail crew.

Captain can take the biggest riders or the littlest ones all the way up the mountain. 🏔️❤️

Welcome to our Horse Spotlight series! 🐴✨

Meet Quinn – the smallest of the ranch horses, and she’s one of the newest. She is a 7‑year‑old unmarked mustang. Her previous owner found her tied to a tree on BLM land. She’s currently a wrangler horse until she settles in and learns to walk patiently back to the barn. Her favorite speed is “go,” and she doesn’t let her little legs stop her from keeping up. Before moving to the ranch, she was owned by a guy who used her with the Forest Service. In typical mustang fashion, she takes some convincing to be caught, but once she’s your friend, she’ll be begging for treats. She is best friends with Cooper, the horse that traveled with her to the ranch, and they can always be seen together when out in the pasture. ❤️
