There is 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, living/dining room, full kitchen, and your own in-unit laundry room with washer & dryer. Bedroom offers a luxuriously comfortable sleep experience, soft area rug surrounding the bed, an alarm clock with usb ports, white noise machine & full length mirror. Kitchen is well stocked with everything you’ll need should you choose to cook or bake or if you desire to mix up a refreshing cocktail or pour a glass of wine. Living room offers comfortable seating, dining table & chairs, a cabinet stocked with books and games, and trendy coastal decor that will remind you of the wonderful place you are vacationing in. There are flat screen televisions in the Living Room (Smart TV) & Bedroom and strong, secure wifi. Additional amenities include quality bath towels, hair dryer, outlet extender offering usb and usb-c ports, a Keurig coffee maker, iron & ironing board, clothing steamer, detergents for laundry & dishes, basic cleaning supplies, shampoo/conditioner/body wash/lotion & more. The Gilded Palm is a sunny top-floor end-unit located in a boutique condo community of just 2 buildings with 12 units total, offering a gated courtyard with swimming pool (sunny all day with full east to west exposure), lounge chairs, an outdoor shower, and patio table with chairs & umbrella. There is a convenient & dedicated parking space located right next to the building. If you like to venture further out you can drive, rent a bike or walk just 10 blocks to historic 3rd Street South abounding in art galleries, boutiques, dining & a weekly farmer’s market. Tin City is just 7 blocks away and offers a casual waterfront shopping mall that exudes old Florida charm. Bayfront is across the street from Tin City and offers even more restaurants and shopping. Best date night at Veranda E & The Vine Room all right around the corner & walkable from The Gilded Palm! What a glorious evening! We had a beautiful table on the courtyard overlooking the idyllic pool and live music. We enjoyed the summer special, a $49 prix fixe menu and it was so yum!! Before dessert we even slow danced through a couple songs next to the pool. Jeremy couldn’t resist dipping me, over the pool, but promised he would not drop me lol! After dinner we walked to The Vine Room for a craft cocktail and then finished with a poolside chat, dipping our toes in the water, at The Gilded Palm!

It's been a busy season at The Gilded Palm! Our calendar is full through mid May. We have a handful of guests staying 10-14 days and the rest are enjoying week-long stays. Over 4 months of reservations, 9 of them are repeat guests (1 of them just completed their 5th stay with us!) and 3 of them are new guests who found us on Vrbo. So far, rebookings (we always give priority to the current season's guests first) have all the same dates in 2027 now booked.

If you've thought about a stay at The Gilded Palm, make this the year! Our fall is currently wide open and is typically booked more last minute. Last year we were blessed with 5 reservations across October & November. We hope for that again this year and would love for you to join us. We relax the Saturday to Saturday stay requirement in the shoulder and off seasons, and allow for check-ins and check-outs on other days of the week (5 night minimum vs. 7 in season). You can view the rates for fall on our Vrbo page or message me. It's a good value and less expensive than staying in a hotel with way more conveniences and a better location!

We just received the pictured review from a recent Vrbo booking and their comments made my day! "I don't think we have ever stayed in a cleaner rental...stocked with everything you need...so well organized...second home...highly recommend!"

We recently replaced the couch. The old one was good but the new one is better. :o) So grateful for strong family members who helped us move it in during the short window between a Saturday check-out and check-in!

Finally, we updated the electronic keypad with a new version. That Florida heat and constant use gave us four good years on the old one, but it was time for a new one.

We try our best to replace and update items at The Gilded Palm before the end of their useful life. We want to get good value out of them but we also want our guests to feel like they're staying in a home and not just a rental property. I try to set the same standards for The Gilded Palm as I have for my own home!

I recently enjoyed seeing Paul & Eileen Arsenault again. They've released a new book called An Artful History of Naples and it's filled with many of Paul's incredible works for art. The cover is an image of Paul's painting of the Port Royal Club circa 1974. I'm trying to read through it slowly so I can enjoy it longer! I'm halfway through and really enjoying the stories and artwork. A few years back I purchased one of Paul's paintings and it was such a neat experience visiting his home and studio and picking it up directly from him and Eileen. It hangs proudly in our family room and depicts Wiggins Pass. We spent many a day lazing on the shore of Wiggins Pass when we were boat club members so that painting holds special significance for us. When you stay at The Gilded Palm, check out one of his other books available on our bookshelf, called Naples Beachfront Homes. It is SO fascinating, an inside look at the design and style of the homes and those who built them, along the beach in downtown Naples.

Christmas Walk on 5th is one of our favorite Fifth Avenue events to attend. It's held on a Friday AND Saturday evening in early December. The entire street is closed off to vehicular traffic and many of the restaurants set up tables out in the street, dressed with festive lights, flowers & linens. It's such a fun thing to do during the holiday season. There were more vendors on the street (selling crafts, arts, specialty products) this year as well. If you're in Naples at this time of the year, I highly recommend attending!!

This December we tried out the new Tulia Italian Steak restaurant on 5th Avenue and it did not disappoint. We were sad this past summer when we noticed the sign out in front of our beloved restaurant, The French, stating they were closed. We'd enjoyed a number of meals there, both lunch and dinner, and the restaurant just has such a special feel. We were excited to learn it would be reopened by the same chef/company and just be a new concept - a steakhouse. They hit it out of the park. Loved loved loved the service, the ambiance, and our steaks were melt in our mouths delicious! Highly recommend!

It’s been a busy past month with guests every week, but now we have a little opening between now and Christmas. The Gilded Palm has a rare opportunity available for someone looking to rent 6 weeks in Naples during peak season! Our long-time March guest will not be able to return in 2026 and that now opens up a spot that has historically been held for them. Our preference is to take a new guest for the full 6 weeks and not break up the stay into smaller parts.
