The Nash Spot Airbnb

If you’re in town … this will be a tribute you won’t want to miss!

Nashville announced a citywide Dolly Day for September 25, and the whole town will play "9 to 5" at five o'clock.

Same song, same minute, every venue that wants in. Then, at 9:25 that night, they set off fireworks downtown.

The date is 9/25 for the song. Mayor Freddie O'Connell is signing a proclamation making it official, and the Chamber, the Convention and Visitors Corp, and two community foundations put it together.

Buildings go pink. The Korean War Veterans Memorial Bridge and the Historic Metro Courthouse are already committed.

The Musicians Hall of Fame is giving $9.25 from every ticket to the Imagination Library. Garth and Trisha are giving the whole day's take from their bar.

Wear pink. Do something kind for somebody.

Do it like the locals do!

Most people come to Nashville for hot chicken and BBQ. Fair enough. But if you want to eat like you actually live here—and not just check off tourist boxes—this list is where you start.

1. Gannon’s – Total local favorite. Unassuming, consistently good, and full of regulars who keep coming back.

2. Mas Tacos Por Favor – It’s not a secret anymore, but it’s still a must. Tacos, elote, quick service, East Nashville charm.

3. Jane’s Hideaway – Live music, cozy vibes, and food that feels like a memory even if it’s your first time.

4. Jack Brown’s – Casual, affordable, and straight-up delicious. Burgers and craft b**r, done right.

5. Arnold’s Country Kitchen – Somewhere between “hidden gem” and Nashville legend. If there’s a line, trust it.

6. Big Al’s Deli – Tiny spot, big soul. Breakfast here might ruin breakfast anywhere else.

7. Phat Bites – Funky, weird, full of personality. Solid food, nothing fussy.

8. Monell’s – Long tables, strangers who become meal-mates, and endless plates of Southern food.

9. The Local – Low-key, live music, and exactly the kind of bar you wish you had in your own neighborhood.

10. The Pharmacy – Burgers again, but with a b**r garden twist. Hard to beat on a sunny day.

Bookmark this list. Or don’t—and just pretend you “stumbled on” one of these when your friends visit.
