Who was Willard Richards?

Born in Massachusetts in 1804, Willard Richards worked as a teacher, doctor, clerk, printer, editor and postmaster during his lifetime. He became an important figure in early Nauvoo history, serving as Joseph Smith’s private secretary and scribe, Church historian and Nauvoo Temple recorder.
