We are so please to have Nauvoo Pharmacy join us again this year for our 3rd annual Sonora Vendor Event! We sure hope you stop by and chat with Lauren and Mattie on September 20 here at Sonora Gardens Farmstead Properties. They are so good to share important information about health and wellbeing along with medications. They offer so many great items at their store including supplements, great products, clothing for the littles, gift items and so much more. We love their home grown honey here at Sonora Gardens!

On September 1, 2022, Lauren Carlisle and Mattie Haas purchased the pharmacy from Tom and LuAnn Haas. Lauren and Mattie are both born and raised in Hancock County, only leaving the county to complete pharmacy school. Lauren Po***ck Carlisle grew up in LaHarpe, IL. She graduated from Illini West High School and then from the University of Washington College of Pharmacy in 2018. Mattie Robertson Haas grew up in Dallas City, IL. She graduated from Nauvoo-Colusa Jr./Sr. High School and then from Drake University College of Pharmacy in 2013. In 2014, Mattie married Tom and LuAnn’s son, Michael, establishing the relationship for the continued legacy of Nauvoo Pharmacy. Linda Garrelts MacLean (LuAnn’s sister and pharmacy professor at the University of Washington) was Lauren’s most trusted mentor in pharmacy school, establishing the connection between Lauren and Mattie. Both Lauren and Mattie reflect, “It feels quite special to have been professionally and personally mentored by the Garrelts sisters who got their start at Nauvoo Pharmacy and now we have the honor to carry on the community and heritage that they also felt at the start of their careers and in the same location! The gratitude and connection we feel to be able to continue this legacy is indescribable. We look forward to many future years of service and providing quality pharmaceutical care

We love sharing the space here at Sonora Gardens Farmstead Properties. Rather it be our guests who book the town hall or those who rent the glass house, Binzebo and green space and flower gardens, we so love to bring people to the farm here in rural Nauvoo. When arriving home today and getting the mail, I found this very thoughtful note from a member of the YPO (a prestigious group of young CEO’s who meet on occasion, typically in a board room) This note speaks to what those who visit experience when they visit. We are grateful for those who rent our space and enjoy it as much as we do! Many thanks to this group and the local member who booked it. Very thankful.
I especially enjoyed the humming bird on the front of the card. We have humming birds who enjoy all the flowers as they are traveling through this time of year and holds a special place. Greta

I love sharing my property with photographers and their clients. To see photos of families making the effort to have photos taken for memories for years to come is so heart warming. My property offers so many options for photos. Inside the glass house, decorated by individual photographs, my garden areas, the tree swing, or the yard can provide just the right spot for your family!
