Seeing a black bear at the property is not an uncommon experience. Most of our guests are thrilled to encounter a sighting. In every instance the bear(s) climb over the fence and wander down the beach. On one occasion it scampered across the driveway and climbed up into our Oak tree for a break. Black bears are the largest mammal in Florida and live in fragmented parts of the state. Thankfully, bear have not been a nuisance with getting into garbage or grills. One recently passed within 20 ft of me while trimming weeds. The bear was competely disinterested in me and continued down the beach.

EGLIN NIGHT FLYING OPERATIONS

EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla.

Residents may experience aircraft noise Sept. 12 – 15, when the 58th Fighter Squadron conducts night flying operations in the area.

F-35 fighter aircraft will conduct missions between 7:30 and 10 p.m. Night flying is required for 58th FS training operations.

EGLIN NEWS: Residents may experience aircraft noise May 17 - 18 when the 43rd Fighter Squadron conducts night flying operations in the area, according to a press release from the 96th Test Wing Office of Public Affairs.
Each day, F-22 fighter aircraft will conduct training missions between 7:30 and 9 p.m.

Ready for summer!

Another week of property management work is about to conclude. Behind every pretty photo is a tremendous amount of blood, sweat and tears.

The Reward: Creating vacation memories for generations of families that will last forever.

On this trip we attended to finishing the porch ceiling project by adding a gutter, deck staining, planting flowers and attended to weeding and pruning, and too numerous other tasks to name.
