Meet by the second-floor naturalist desk for a free program about native Ohio wildlife.

Beginner Archery – Old Man's Cave area, 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM

Meet at the archery range across from the campground office. Equipment is provided; children must be accompanied by an adult.

Family Game Night – Main Auditorium at Logan Theater, 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM

A donation-based community game night with a selection of tabletop games.

Hocking Hills Annual Jeep Run, October 1 – 3

The sixth annual run includes a scenic drive, off-road activities, raffles, and guided options benefiting Rescue 101. Registration is required.

Fall Foliage Trains – Hocking Valley Scenic Railway

October rides leave Nelsonville Thursday – Friday at 1:00 PM and Saturday – Sunday at 11:00 AM and 2:30 PM. Trips last about two hours; advance tickets are recommended.

Nelsonville Bigfoot Festival, October 2 – 4 – Historic Nelsonville Public Square

A free, family-friendly weekend of cryptid presentations, live music, food, makers, children's rides, and Appalachian culture. A ticketed Bigfoot Spotting Express departs separately from the rail depot Friday and Saturday.

The Last Canal Boat – Main Auditorium at Logan Theater

A family-friendly original musical inspired by the history of the Hocking Canal in the 1800s. Performances are Friday, October 2 at 7:00 PM; Saturday, October 3 at 7:00 PM; and Sunday, October 4 at 2:00 PM. Confirm ticket availability with the theater.

The Andromeda Galaxy – John Glenn Astronomy Park, 7:15 PM Friday and Saturday

A weather-dependent program about the most distant object visible to the unaided eye. Free parking reservations are required.

Oktoberfest at Brewery 33, 12:00 PM – 10:00 PM

German b**r, food, and music throughout the day at 12684 College Prospect Drive, Logan. Admission is free.

The Hocking Hills Craft Show Fall Fest, October 3 – 4 – Logan

More than 100 craft booths, live music, and food trucks. Hours are 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Saturday and 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM Sunday; admission is $5, with free parking and free admission for children.

A ticketed grape-harvest program with crushing, winemaking demonstrations, tastings, tours, and games. Advance booking is recommended.

The season's final monthly market brings local farmers, bakers, crafters, and small businesses to the courthouse parking lot on Main Street.

Learn the Cassiopeia myth and view star clusters in the constellation. Weather dependent; free parking reservations are required.
