If you want to see tide pools on the Oregon Coast, this is one of the best times of year to go 🐚🌊

In 2026, some of the lowest daytime tides fall on:
May 17–19
June 15–16
July 14–15

Tide pools can be explored on many low tide days, but these dates usually give you more exposed shoreline and more to see. 🪼✨️

🚨 URGENT COASTAL WARNING Has Just Been Released 10/22/25

If you or anyone you know is heading to the coast, STAY ALERT! Dangerous sneaker waves are expected along the coast from now through Thursday. This is NOT a suggestion—sneaker waves can be LIFE-THREATENING.

A life was unfortunately lost to a sneaker wave here on the beach just last Sunday.

NOW is the time to get serious about listening to the issued warnings and to use extreme caution.

Protect yourself and others, and avoid risking the lives of Coast Guard and Search & Rescue teams. Stay safe and spread awareness ! 🌊⚠️

The King Tides in Oregon for the 2025-2026 season are November 5–7, 2025; December 4–6, 2025; and January 1–4, 2026. These are the highest high tides of the year, caused by the alignment of the sun and moon, leading to increased water levels and potentially powerful waves. It is quite a sight, and can be viewed from the cabin! Stay safe and stay off the beaches.

Tillamook County is proposing a significant increase to the Transient Lodging Tax in ALL of Tillamook County from 10% to 15%. The TLT applies to ALL STRs and motels + hotels in Tillamook County. Unfortunately, the additional cost is eventually passed down to the visitors.
