Welcome to West Crooked Lake Resort Park Rapids. West Crooked Lake Resort offers relaxation and enjoyment for the entire family. We have two kayaks, two paddle boards, a canoe and a paddle boat available free to use for all guests. Park Rapids family resort, in the Paul Bunyan State Forest, is surrounded by towering pines with a view of the lake from all cabins. West Crooked Lake Resort is located in the heart of the beautiful Nevis lakes area of northern Minnesota approximately 7 miles from Nevis, 15 miles from Park Rapids in the Paul Bunyan State Forest. You can enjoy sun bathing on the sandy beach, swimming in the clear water, playing on the Rave Water Park, or reading a book in the shade. For the fisherman, West Crooked Lake hosts a large variety of fish including Walleye, Northern, Bass, Perch, Crappie and Sunfish. The area offers many interesting and fun attractions, such as Itasca State Park, a local Winery, the Heartland Trail (a paved trail, excellent for biking, walking, or rollerblading through the beautiful countryside), Northern Lights Casino, and many shopping and dining choices. West and Middle Crooked Lakes are part of the famous Mantrap chain of lakes – the very heart of Northern Minnesota’s finest fishing country. Fish to catch in West Crooked Lake include Northern, Walleye, Bass and Panfish. You can fish right off the dock at the resort or venture out to the many inlets on this quiet lake.
