Since taking over the hotel in May 2026, New Bedford's Harbor Hotel has several new updates from a Starbucks to new dinner menu.

Earlier this week, Lafrance Hospitality proudly celebrated the grand reopening and ribbon cutting of the New Bedford Harbor Hotel and 222 Union Café, Restaurant & Bar, marking an exciting new chapter for both downtown destinations.

We extend our sincere thanks to the One SouthCoast Chamber, Troop 24 New Bedford, local dignitaries and community members who joined us and shared remarks during the celebration. We are grateful for the warm welcome and excited to be part of the continued growth and energy of downtown New Bedford.
