An escape from the city, but make it downtown. 🌿

Somehow, just steps from the heart of New Braunfels, Sophie’s feels like its own little world. Tucked beneath towering trees and a nearly 200-year-old magnolia, our gardens are one of the things that make this place so special.

A little love for the team at Cultivated, who keeps it all looking this beautiful. 🤍

🔑 We got a Key!

We’re incredibly excited to share that Sophie’s Gasthaus has been awarded One MICHELIN Key in 2026.

MICHELIN Keys recognize exceptional hotels, and receiving our first Key is such an exciting honor for our little 1906 property in the heart of New Braunfels.

Sophie’s has always been about more than a place to stay. It’s about the history of this home, thoughtful hospitality, beautiful spaces, and creating an experience that feels genuinely special.

To our guests, our team, and everyone who has supported Sophie’s along the way, thank you! We’re so proud to represent New Braunfels among MICHELIN’s recognized hotels.

One Key. One very special Gasthaus. 🔑🏡

Have you met our newest resident?

"Rhino Wild Ride" by internationally acclaimed artists Gillie & Marc has officially made its home in downtown New Braunfels, and we couldn't be more excited to share it with our guests and community.

What makes this piece so special is that it isn't meant to be viewed from a distance. Gillie & Marc create interactive public art that invites people to engage with it, experience it up close, and become part of the story.

We've already loved seeing people stop to admire it, snap photos, and share the experience with friends and family.

Beyond its playful spirit, Rhino Wild Ride is part of a larger mission to inspire connection, conversation, and awareness around wildlife conservation. It's art with a purpose, and we're honored to be a small part of that story.

If you're exploring downtown New Braunfels, stop by and meet our newest resident. Take a photo, make a memory, and if you share it, don't forget to tag and .
