This was one of my two day projects. It didn't take a full 8 months but way longer than two days! The pattern looked so simple but the directions were terrible. I had to figure it out and rework the math myself! It's suppose to be a table runner but I am going to use it as a knitting machine cover. All made with scraps from my stash. I don't keep tiny scraps. Funny thing though, there are scraps from the scraps!

Have you ever had this experience? If you did it probably was a great 8 months!

Oh my gosh! This roadrunner was almost to my front door and I actually got a picture. They are so camera shy. Been seeing a lot of them all summer. They often run across the driveway whenever I am driving out. One of my favorite birds to see.

Bought this fun linen blend about a year ago. It wasn't until I unfolded it and put it on the design wall that I realized it had two stripes running the length of the fabric. So glad I saw this since I am planning to make a pair of pants. Those stripes are going to have to have a well thought out placement. Well I'll share the end result but I'm going to make this work to have a slightly wild, totally fun pair of pants!

This picture caught my eye. I don't know where it was taken or if it is an AI generated photo (probably). It really has nothing to do with anything but I like it. I like the colors and the composition. I like the feeling of beauty and serenity when I look at it. I like the contrast of the blue roof and dark road with all the other soft colors. It makes me want to use this as inspiration for colors in a quilt. Or even colors for knitting a pair of socks. How about you? Do you ever get inspired by photos?

The roadrunners have been out and about lately. Iv'e seen them on the porch and running across the driveway. Today when I was out I saw something moving above my head and spotted this guy. It's so camouflaged that it is pretty hard to see so I circled it in purple on the photo. I'm amazed I was able to get its picture. They are SO camera shy. This one actually let me capture several shots and turned to look at me. Guess it thought it was so far above me that it could be generous.

I'd be smiling too if this was my quilt. But it's not. This was made by my beautiful friend Barbara. Beautiful colors...
