Good Morning All! I hope everyone weathered the storm OK. I have a request of our scouts and scouters, young and old. We still have quite a bit of clean up on and around camp. So I am asking for some cleanup help from all of you reading this, as we have a cub event next weekend. This is a great opportunity to get those service hours for rank advancement or for school if required. Here is the plan

Location HSR ballpark pavillion
Lunch will be provided.

Task

1. Continue to process trees and clear an area next to program area to burn debris.

2. Finish the roof on archery building.

3. Work on grading roads around camp.

4. Waterfront cleanup

5. Burn debris

Good evening Scouts, Scouters and chainsaw warriors. We are looking for some help on camp tomorrow. We will be picking up debris as well as stuff that we cut today. We are also looking to have a few chainsaw teams to break down some fallen trees. We are planning the workday from 9am until 12-1pm. Please let me know you are coming out so I know who to expect. I hope to see y’all tomorrow at 9am at the ballpark pavilion.

So it’s taken awhile to get around camp with multiple trees down after the storm. Still no power out at camp. Got the generator fired up and the fridge plugged in. We had two structures damaged in the storm and lots of near misses. A tree has fallen on the pavilion in Navajo but repairable. However a 50ft tree has fallen right through the middle of the new outdoor skills pavilion. All other campsites have minimal to no damage. Here are some pictures around camp. I will be putting out a request for assistance in the coming days. Chainsaw warriors I will be calling on you. I guess we now have a way to finish up the chainsaw class.

Special thanks to our band of misfits that went up to Camp Rotary today. We got a lot done. So thank you Nick, Chris H.,lil Nick B, Landon, Pablo and Aiden. Trees were cut down campsites cleared and tree removed from the shower house. Rotary is in much better shape and ready for camporee.

Gooooooooood Morning!
I am looking for some help this Sunday 20Sept26…This will be working up at Camp Rotary getting things ready for the upcoming camporee. The plan is roll out of the gate here at HSR at 0700 Sunday morning arriving at Rotary between 0830-0900. I will have coolers of water and Gatorade. I will also have stuff to make cold cut sandwiches and chips.

Plan on site
We do have some trees to cut down and cut up.
We have a tree the has fallen on the shower house. So the tree needs to be removed and roof repaired.
We have downed trees and branches that need to be moved and piled up.
Brush cutting
General campsite maintenance.

Hand tools to repair roof
Pressure washer

Shovel

Good morning Scouts and Scouters!
I am looking for some help on Sunday about 10am. We will be recovering the iceberg drying it and storing the iceberg and the other inflatables in storage boxes. Basically putting the waterfront to bed for the season. Any and all help is welcome. Josh McSwain will be leading the recovery of the waterfront but many hands make quick work. I know this goes without saying but plan on getting wet. I will have water and Gatorade available at the waterfront.

Good afternoon Scouts and Scouters. Tomorrow June 6th at 9am we will have our annual pre camp Grassapolooza. If you have some time please come out and give us a hand as we have our final prep for summer camp. Projects will include mowing, weedeating, tree cutting and some road work.
