We’ve had the fireplace on intermittently for the past week or two already and I gave in this morning and turned on the heat…

I am not one of those people who insist on waiting until November to turn on the heat…But this feels extra early this year!

Who else has already turned their furnace on?!?

It’s a hot tea kind-of-morning in Michigan!

Officially fall today and I am having mixed feelings about it! I do love all things fall, but having trouble saying goodbye to summer too…

The ‘brrr months are here…

While it’s still summer in my mind, we gave the cottage its annual fall makeover this past weekend since we won’t be back until October. So apologies in advance to any of our upcoming guests over the next few weeks who are still on summer time like I am!

…and yes, our pool will remain open through mid-October…So if you are one of those guests, don’t forget your swimsuit! 👙
