Influenced by a small canton in northeast Switzerland, our beautiful Swiss-style inn was a grand vision by a cheesemaker, restauranteur, architect, and printer. The dream became a reality in 1980 and has been a treasure of New Glarus ever since it was built. The Chalet Landhaus Inn was built in a traditional Swiss style with a perfect blend of modern convenience and old-world Swiss décor—it's a touch of Switzerland close to home.

Today we want to pause and give our deepest thanks to a true lifelong chef, Mike Nevil — someone who poured his heart, soul, and countless hours into every dish that left the kitchen. His cooking was never just food; it was care, tradition, creativity, and love served on a plate.

For years, he showed up with passion, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to quality, and our community is better for it. We are endlessly grateful for the time, energy, and heart he shared with us and everyone who walked through our doors. His legacy lives on in every recipe, every memory, and every meal.

As we turn the page, we’re excited to share that the restaurant remains open and ready to welcome you.
