Join us in wishing a huge Congratulations to Beckett on his first deer during Wisconsin’s Youth hunt Saturday!

This story is exactly how you should handle a lost blood trail… Beckett was hunting with his dad- Brad, when this doe stepped out at 53 yards. They tracked for about 80 yards and lost blood, but were confident she was down from the initial trail. Brad knew the area she headed was thick with lots of deadfalls in a creek bottom, that would make a tough walking search. To avoid bumping the deer if she was wounded, they backed out instead of pushing through the bedding area- even though they were confident in the shot.

A quick fly of the drone and we found her expired in the creek as Beckett made a perfect shot!

Kudos to Brad and Beckett for following the golden track rule “When in doubt back out”

We love to see new hunters getting outdoors and helping them find success- it’s what we’re all about!

Few things are better than Christmas morning as a kid… unless you’re a deer hunter and tomorrow is opening morning!

Good Luck to all Bear hunters as we kick off opening day! - Bears can be extra challenging to track considering their fur coat and high body fat- which tends to leave little blood. After years of applying for a tag, don't miss out on successfully finding your animal. Contact us and we will help bring your trophy home!

Curious about 410’s in Turkey hunting? Catch a glimpse of the Wisconsin Youth Hunt action on this weeks episode of Larry Smith Outdoors . We were able to take Beckett on his 1st hunt- a crazy action packed morning of turkey behavior. It all closes as a triple beard attacks the Dave Smith Decoys / DSD and Beckett lays the smack down on him with his new R***y USA 410 paired with a Vortex Optics red dot.
