After much thought I have decided to start a metal detecting club here in SouthEastern Connecticut . The club will meet every third Tuesday of the month at an already determined local Iocation. I have been fortunate enough to be a member of Awesome Relics New England for the past two years. During that time I have learned a lot from its president Dig Doug Bowden on how to have fun and exciting meetings.
The club will be open to everyone from beginners to experienced detectorists.
I will post more as I get closer to the club kickoff Please pm me if you are interested.

This is what Metal Detecting is all about. I went to a local park today for only about 15 minutes before I knew it a had four young kids following me, asking me if I was finding treasure. As I was searching in the dirt all I could hear was “ewwww look a worm,””your hands are getting dirty, “”do you like touching worms “. When I was getting ready to leave I told them as long as they listened to their parents id give them treasure. They agreed so I gave them each a coin I found. What does one little girl say as I hand them out “ewww the money is dirty. ” Lol I did manage to find a silver pendant and a 1943 mercury dime
