It is with the greatest sadness that we announce that all 3 of our beloved properties have been sold. We were just informed today that the new owners will be closing it down as of September 8th until they complete their renovations with an unknown reopen date. Over the last 40 years, we have seen some amazing ups and some super lows. We survived, and even flourished, after Katrina devastated our city. However, the Covid pandemic brought about new and unfamiliar issues that we have fought so hard to overcome. Though we fought as hard as we could, we had to come to the hard realization that it was time to bow out gracefully. This collection of 3 beautiful hotels was created by Dori's own mother, Theone Halpern, who wanted to create a safe, affordable place for people to come and enjoy our unique city while feeling like they were home. We think we fulfilled that dream and exceeded it. The friendships we have made with all of our guests are unforgettable. We feel so honored to have gotten to know so many people from so many backgrounds and to be considered home away from home for so many wonderful people. Our goal was always to treat our guests like family and family is what our guests have become to us. So, from the deepest parts of our hearts, we say THANK YOU, for allowing us to be a part of your traveling needs and memories. Thank you for your continued support throughout all of the years. And thank you for being the absolute best guests we could ask for.
