Our next Institute (June 9-20, 2025) will celebrate the completion of three decades during which we've trained more than 800 graduates from 100+ jurisdictions across the globe. We're sending this announcement to you with the hope that you'll consider attending in 2025 to help us celebrate this milestone.

Please share this information with any of your colleagues who might be interested in attending. If you can put together a delegation, we offer tuition discounts of $3750 per person for groups of 6 or more and a further reduction to $3500 per person for 11 or more participants.

The 2025 ILDI participants will be housed at one of New Orleans' newest hotels. The Residence Inn by Marriott is in the heart of the Central Business District at 360 St. Charles Avenue, conveniently located just three blocks from the French Quarter and the Warehouse District. Each room in the all-suite hotel is equipped with a full kitchen. You can make reservations at a favorable daily rate of $119.00 US until May 8, 2025.

Don Revell was a consistent presence at the International Legislative Drafting Institute, speaking on "Drafting Instructions" and "Bilingual and Multilingual Drafting." He authored the first chapter in our International Legislative Drafting Guidebook on "Parliamentary Drafting Instructions: Role of the Legislative Drafter." He loved New Orleans, and he loved teaching Institute participants each year.

Sadly, Don passed away last month. We're sharing a link to his obituary, which recounts his many professional accomplishments. We appreciate his contribution to improving legislative drafting practices worldwide. We will miss him as a speaker and as a friend.

For our 2023 institute, ILDI will be partnering with the newly-renovated Homewood Suites by Hilton at 901 Poydras Street to provide Insitute participants a special daily rate of $136 US per night (plus 16.20% sales tax and a $1.00 occupancy fee). This rate is for the hotel's one-bedroom suites, Wi-Fi, a full hot breakfast buffet daily, and a complimentary evening social that consists of beer, wine, beverages, and light food fare on Wednesday evenings. The hotel ammenities include a pool and workout room as well.

The special rate is guaranteed only until May 15. Reservations may be made directly with the hotel by clicking HERE. Please be sure to state that the reservation is for The Public Law Center’s International Legislative Drafting Institute.

We are proud to announce that the 2023 International Legislative Drafting Institute will be held June 12-23, in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. We invite interested drafters, legislative members, and NGO representatives to join us on the campus of Tulane University Law School.

Many long-time Institute speakers authored chapters in our new International Legislative Drafting Guidebook (2020). Each Institute registrant will receive a copy of the Guidebook, which contains articles and endnotes to enrich understanding in each speaker’s area of subject-matter expertise.
