Today we’re celebrating World Photography Day, and wanted to share a few words from our founder and head photographer, Anna Meshcheri.

“World Photography Day always reminds me why I chose this profession and how incredibly grateful I am to do what I love every single day.

One of the greatest privileges of my career has been earning the trust of people from all over the world to capture some of the most meaningful moments of their lives. Every photoshoot is different because every client has a unique story.

People often ask me how many clients I’ve photographed over the years. While I honestly couldn’t tell you the number, I can tell you that I remember so many of their stories. I remember the surprise proposals we kept secret, the families who returned years later with new additions, the travelers fulfilling lifelong dreams of visiting New York City, and all the laughter we shared during our sessions. Those memories stay with me just as much as the photographs stay with my clients.

What an incredible branding session with Katrina! ✨

Katrina traveled to New York City from out of state to create fresh branding images for her work, and we had the best time bringing her vision to life. She also brought her daughter along, which made the session even more special. Along with professional branding portraits, we captured beautiful mother-and-daughter moments they'll be able to cherish for years to come.

One of our favorite parts of every session is embracing the unexpected. As we were walking between some of our favorite photo locations, her daughter excitedly spotted a Sephora store and said, "Oh my gosh, it's Sephora!" Of course, we had to stop and capture a few fun photos there too. Those spontaneous moments often become some of the most memorable images from the day.
