What an incredible summer we've had at the West Side Y! Here's a quick recap in case you missed it:

- Our board kicked things off with a summer soirée.
- Campers enjoyed a tropical summer.
- We celebrated staff milestones, with some serving 5-30 years at the Y.
- Spirit Week was filled with fun gifts and activities for all staff new and old.
- Senator Brad Hoylman-Sigal paid us a special visit.
- Gave thanks to our lifeguards for keeping everyone safe all season long.
- Presented at Bloomberg Philanthropies on drowning prevention as leaders in Aquatics.
- Donated hundreds of backpacks to students in our local schools filled with school supplies.

Our West Side Y Teens recently had an incredible opportunity to hear directly from our very own board members during a special career panel!

Teens got real-world advice on navigating career paths, overcoming challenges, and discovering how the skills they’ve gained through Y programs can be applied to job readiness and future success.

· Practice interview questions and don’t forget to ask your own!

As Teacher Appreciation Week comes to an end, we’re reminded that every day is a chance to celebrate the amazing staff who shape our future, from babies to teens, they’re there every step of the way.

Healthy Kids Day was a complete success this past weekend. Families and kids learned about healthier lifestyle options from our amazing community partners while getting creative with arts and crafts and of course jumping until they couldn’t anymore in their favorite - the bounce house. Snoopy also made a guest appearance to cheer the kids on.
