Dominicans in New York New York is home to the largest population of Dominicans outside the Dominican Republic.

This page is managed by Marilyn Ramirez, a second generation Dominican American, born and raised in uptown Manhattan. This page includes all aspects of life that affect Dominicans in New York. We will cover current events and issues that occur in NYC as well as in the Dominican Republic. The main focus will be on social issues and how those are shaped by politics and the economy both in NYC and in

the Dominican Republic. Other topics such as education, arts, sports, etc will also be discussed. Some topics will be fun and we will all agree but some will be controversial and we will see eye to eye. The goal of Dominicans in New York is to provide a platform where everyone whether you are Dominican or not can join a discussion and feel respected. We ask everyone is respectful others views and that you do not resort to name calling, violence, threats or other derogatory comments.
