Built in 1928 in the beaux-arts style and once the tallest building on the Upper West Side, the hotel earned its name from a massive rooftop beacon light - considered one of the most powerful in the world at the time. Nearly 100 years later, the stories still live on within these walls.

From Broadway performers and jazz musicians to notable guests like the Dalai Lama, Hotel Beacon has quietly remained a home-away-from-home for artists, travelers, and New Yorkers alike.
