Well, this last week was a memorable one😳😳😳. As many of you know by now we hit record levels of water over nearly the entire state. Lots of serious flooding and wild conditions. Our group of Veterans from Warriors & Quiet Waters Foundation didn’t miss a beat, they took every challenge head on and made it an absolute blast! I’m not sure I’ve ever seen an alcohol free campfire quite so entertaining before🫵🏼.
After our first day on the river the county shut down our launches. With the launches closed and the conditions unsafe on the river we quickly made a few changes.
A visit to Legends Ranch was really the highlight of Thursday. A trip into Lake County is never complete without a visit to M-37 Meat Shack. Thank you Robert Sergi and Johnny Matson!!!
We rounded out the day with a version of the Oak Heart Olympics.
Friday found us launching 5 jetsleds on a local lake and chasing down some warm water fishes.
Thanks for everything and everyone this week…lots of people stepping up to make lemonade with us!

Week #5 was the Lone Star group of Veterans visiting from Texas. It was a perfect blend of down South flair and Midwestern hospitality. These guys knew the mission and it was way more than just the fishin’. The weather once again tried its best to throw a curve ball at us. Our crew didn’t miss a beat, they smacked that curve ball out of the park!
We faced flood stage water and a torrential downpour that could have dampened many anglers spirits. Not these guys, they stuck it out and were rewarded properly with some great catches. Thank you gentleman for making it a GREAT WEEK!!

Week #4 was another great one! Our Veterans visited us from New York and New Jersey. They were treated to some of our down home Midwestern hospitality that we love to share. The lodge fireplace worked overtime while the laughter and stories were shared.
