Roads to the 2Heart and Crisp Pt ARE NOT PLOWED at least til end of April usually. And this winter brought more snow and drifts than usual.

Important travel update for those heading to Grand Marais from the Two Hearted River and Deer Park areas: Please consult the attached map for accurate directions. Do not rely on Google Maps. A road construction project on H58/Co.Rd 407, six miles east of Grand Marais, begins on June 2 and is expected to last 12-15 weeks. Furthermore, a camper recently became stuck on a shortcut from Paradise to Two Hearted River, requiring an expensive rescue by Great Lakes Trucking. Travelers are advised to exercise caution when driving on Upper Peninsula roads.

County Road 500 north of Newberry, a mile in off of M-123 is washed out and impassable due to intense thunderstorms we had last night. The Luce County road commission has closed CR 500 and all traffic must now be routed through CR414 to access areas beyond the washout. The Luce County road commission has no time-line for repairs due to continued rain storms. We will keep you updated.

There is still a lot of snow reported north of Newberry! Sray off of Seasonal roads. No access to the Two Heart yet! Lots of snow drifts! Be Safe!!

Greetings Rainbow Lodge Friends! With Spring's arrival, please be aware that winter conditions still prevail in the North. Seasonal roads are currently inaccessible, and when opened, may be severely muddy. For road condition updates, contact the Luce County Road Commission at 906-293-5741.
We will begin offering weekly cabin rentals in early June through October. To reserve a cabin or request information, call 906-658-3357 and leave a message. Richard will contact you within a day or two. Please note that online reservations are not accepted. Wishing you a pleasant Spring, and we look forward to your visit this Summer and Fall!

My aged Frigidaire dishwasher is a true gem! Without the need for pre-rinsing or washing, simply load the dishes and let the appliance take care of the rest. Kudos to my Instant Pot air fryer!

Great idea!

My grandsons want to go back to Great Wolf Lodge indoor water park, which in my opinion is expensive. So I told them they would have to make some sacrifices and help save, by not going to 5 Below every other day so they could save that $5 for their trip. I told them if they could fill this canister up they could go. To my surprise they have almost filled it, so I will go ahead and book their stay. My point to them is you have to sacrifice for the things you really (WANT) in life, we as parents are responsible for supplying your needs.
