Rawson is rebuilding the rear entrance door frame. First, remove all the rotted trim and layers of needless molding. On my way down there from DC today, to install the rot resistant resin based 1 x 6 and 1 x 4, then align locks to provide a secure and upgraded door frame. Also, need to gradually replace all the 2" indoor strips that were used on the exterior. Rather than use pressure treated, full lengths, indoor wood pieces were tacked together. Single, weather/bug resistant boards will correct this important feature. Exterior paint, all white, to come.

Michael Rawson is looking to have Le Shac ready for rental Memorial Day weekend. Its snug! Originally built in the 1930's as a fishing shack before the Nice Bridge spanned the Potomac River to Naval Base Dahlgren, and a ferry left from the old dock at the end of

Remnants remain from that former time, and a new, four lane bridge allows drivers to take the "To***co Trail" and bypass and , taking up to Delaware!

Just a few photos of the gorgeous property I bought in Charles County, Maryland. Morgantown Road. 50 miles south of DC, but easy to reach because I never have to take 395 or 495 or the Beltway.

I was fortunate to acquire this "Rambler" that adjoins my shack. I now have 2 1/2 acres of property that is across from a 320 acre farm. The sunsets are magical.
