Mallo Motel makes a great year round destination for groups large and small. Our facilities are popular with large trail riding groups and family reunions. The motel has 16 rooms, two kitchens, guest laundry, free wifi, cable tv in the commons, two large entry ways and a covered deck. Outside the motel we have a fire pit and picnic tables as well as volleyball and horseshoe pits. Use our kitchens or stop by Canyon Spring Stage Stop, an excellent steakhouse just 1/2 mile from Mallo Motel. The Black Hills trail system runs directly past Mallo motel, and the Mallo beaver pond just 1 mile from the motel is open to public fishing. $60 a night.

The Wyoming State Forestry Division does a lot of work at Mallo putting in fire lines and other forestry projects. This year during their class they teach at the Black Hills Natural Resource Camp, they demonstrated the difference between the old and new ways of logging.
