- We provided a link to this location for any of our guests who may decide they need it in case of an emergency; this is the closest of the three locations to our cabins.

Just remember that they will make it public knowledge when & if they open up these locations as "warming centers" both on Facebook & through hyper-reach notifications.

New: High Country Fall Road Trip Map for Sept & Oct getaways, a 50-mile loop from Banner Elk includes the Blue Ridge Parkway open section from Grandfather Mtn to Blowing Rock, through Boone with App State Football games, and by pumpkin fields & Mast Store in Valle Crucis. Most businesses had to close during peak fall season last year due to the hurricane, so they will be extra excited to see you. Find 500 stops along with way, including plenty of shops and restaurants. Things to do include many hiking trails, Tweetsie RR, Apple Hill Alpaca Farm, Mile High Swinging Bridge at Grandfather, Alpine Coaster, Zip Lines, and scenic lift rides.
