Coweta Lodge No. 60 was chartered on October 26, 1847 in Newnan, GA. Worshipful Brother Batty H. Mitchell served as the lodge’s first Worshipful Master. It is one of the oldest lodges in Georgia and is the oldest surviving lodge in Coweta County. The lodge was originally located on Greenville Street in the “Downtown Historic District” of Newnan. During the mid 1970’s the lodge chose to donate thei

r building and property to a local church and build a new lodge on Sewell Road. The land was donated by a local dentist, Dr. Sewell, who was also a lodge member at Coweta 60. The members moved into the new building in 1976 and this is where the lodge still meets today. Coweta Lodge No. 60 proudly recognizes several distinguished members from our lodge and community:
- William Yates Atkinson, Governor of Georgia (1894-1898).
- Ellis Gibbs Arnall, Governor of Georgia (1943-1947).
- Col. Joe Madison Jackson, USAF, Ret., Medal of Honor recipient (1969).

YOUR BIGGEST CHALLENGE IS TO SHOW UP. 🔥📐

Not when it’s convenient.
Not when you “feel” ready.
Not when the conditions are perfect.

But when your mind is producing world-class excuses.

That’s the real test.

Freemasonry doesn’t promise comfort.
It calls for presence. 🧱

Show up when you’re tired.
Show up when you’re doubting yourself.
Show up when discipline is the only thing carrying you forward.

Because growth doesn’t happen in motivation.
It happens in commitment.

The mind will always offer you an out:
“You deserve a break.”
“Skip it this time.”
“No one will notice.”

But you will.

A Mason is taught to subdue his passions.
That includes the quiet voice that tries to talk him out of effort. ⚖️

Standing nobly isn’t about the regalia.
It’s about resolve.

It’s about choosing action over excuse.
Duty over comfort.
Character over convenience.

Show up in Lodge.
Show up at home.
Show up at work.
Show up for yourself.

Because the man who keeps showing up
becomes the man others can depend on. 💪

is the foundation every builder stands on.

Good evening Brothera. Hope all is well. A great Brother from centralhatchee lodge is asking all lodges to consider saving your tabs off cans. A little act from all goes a long way.

W.B. In the fighting 4th district, I Robert nelms from Centralhatchee lodge 403 , I want too ask if everyone would save the pop tabs off of aluminum cans for me I will save them up and then sell them and donate the money to the children’s home . I would give a check at the 4th district convention. Let me know , and thank you
