How We Roll is celebrating another birthday this May 🥐🎉

You’ve seen him rolling and laminating dough, and hopefully you’ve tasted a few of the pastries along the way — but have you ever seen a cuter little baker in the making?

This is Roy, circa 1972: a precocious, social little tike who could often be found napping on the flour bags in his parents’ bakery. It seems pastry has been part of the story from the very beginning.

We’re excited to spend Roy’s birthday weekend doing what we love most — bringing plenty of celebratory sweets to our pastry pals at the market.

Before there can be buttery layers, caramelized edges, and beautiful Kouign Amann… there’s a whole lotta dough 🥐✨

This is where the weekend starts for us: cutting butter, mixing dough, rolling trays and trays of dough balls — all before the laminating even begins.

It’s a labor of love, and this Memorial Weekend we’re making a whole lot of pastry for all of you.

We’ll be bringing plenty of Kouign Amann, croissants, and sweet things to both markets this weekend, and we can’t wait to share them with our pastry pals.

At 14 months, doesn't it look like I already knew how happy pastry would make me? My birthday is May 17 and I can't think of a better way to celebrate than with my pastry pals at the market. We'll be and with plenty of pastry and desserts. This Saturday, the Central Coast Humane Society will also be at the market. I love my fur babies and everyone that chooses to adopt, foster, or support shelter animals in any way. Stop by to say hi to both of us and make my birthday a little sweeter.

We’ve missed our Lincoln City friends and can’t wait to see you all again.

It’s Dessert Week at How We Roll, and we’re bringing a table full of sweet things:
Crème Fraîche Cheesecake
Chocolate Silk
Shortbread
Signature bakes:
🍋 Lemon Curd Tarts — bright, tangy curd in our graham crust, topped with housemade marshmallow
🍐 Pears Elena— raspberry preserve, almond custard, and poached pears in a graham shell
And yes — plenty of golden, buttery layers.
