Four years ago today, we welcomed our very first guests to Hickory Hollow House. 💙
If you know me, you know I give 110% to everything I do. I’m always thinking ahead, noticing the little things, and asking myself, “What would make someone feel more comfortable, more relaxed, and more at home?”
Hosting takes a lot of work—often behind the scenes—but hearing laughter from the lake, seeing families enjoy time together, and reading a message from a guest who felt truly at home makes every bit of it worthwhile.
Over the past four years, we’ve welcomed so many wonderful people through our doors. I’ve genuinely enjoyed getting to know our guests and being a small part of their family vacations, wedding weekends, celebrations, and quiet escapes.
That personal connection is one of the biggest reasons Hickory Hollow House is direct book only. You’re never just a reservation number to us. From your first message until you head home, you’re our guest—and making sure you feel cared for is personal to me.
Four years later, that is still the part of hosting I love most. Thank you to every guest who has trusted us with their time away. It has truly been a pleasure welcoming you to our Lake Home Away from Home.
