Dogwood is part of the Chaplaincy in the Park program which is across Pennsylvania. This past Sunday worship service was very special. We had three chaplains come together, Neil McCulloch, Larry Flood, and our present Chaplain Ken Rummel. Neil McCulloch first stepped into the position in 1999 before our family even bought the campground. What is special about these men is they provide more than worship service at 11 AM on Sunday. They all give and have gave countless hours to Colonel Denning State Park and Dogwood Acres Campground on Fridays and Saturdays. They show up, say hello to us and then walk around the park to greet campers. To some it may seem like nothing or you might not even look their way, but after being here for 26 seasons you see how many lives these men have touched. From births to weddings to funerals they have been a part of them. As much as we love them being a part of the happy moments we need them most during the sad and tough moments. When a fellow camper lost a spouse or was sick themselves you could always count on a smiling face coming to comfort those campers. Neil, Larry, and Ken you are those men and we are grateful for you. Thank you for being here for Dogwood!
