If you haven't seen America's Stairway yet, it will be on PBS tonight, Aug 21st, at 10pm. It's an INCREDIBLE documentary about the engineering and technological achievements that completed what is known as the Flight of Five in Lockport , New York , which was essential to the completion of the Erie Canal
The Marshall House was honored to support Paul Lamont and Robert Borgatti by providing a space for their interview with Sara Beilein Capen Executive Director of the Niagara Falls National Heritage Area.

Today we hosted 16 Niagara University History Students from Dr Russell's Radical Niagara Class. Thanks to two interns via the Niagara Falls National Heritage Area we have created a Dining through the Decades experience. The students got to enjoy our dry run as we prepare to hold our inaugural event this Saturday for the Great Granddaughter, Great Grandson and Great-Great Grandson of James G and Lida T Marshall, the original owners who had the home built for their family in 1913.
The evening started with a short movie about the family, their impact to this region, and Niagara Falls between the 1910's - 1960 from the family's own home movie video archives.
A tour of the home and the artifacts curated for the first floor museum was then given followed by a 5 course tasting where each course represented a decade. We are honored and overjoyed that this Fall the experience will be available to the public! It takes a village!
