Rebuilding the Village Coalition isn't about me, politics, religion, race, or personal differences. It's about bringing PEOPLE, IDEAS, and RESOURCES together to find real solutions to the problems we all know exist in our city.
We can't keep complaining about what's wrong while ignoring opportunities to come together and do something about it. And if you believe you have the answers, BRING THEM TO THE TABLE! We welcome them!
You don't have to agree with everyone in the room to work toward something better for our community.
This Saturday, October 24th at 12 noon, at Elks Lodge #346.

EVERYONE is welcome!

The goal isn't to create another meeting. The goal is to begin REBUILDING THE VILLAGE! And that takes ALL OF US!

📞🦌 ON THIS DAY IN HISTORY — OCTOBER 18, 1892!
Did you know that on this day in history, the long-distance telephone line between New York City and Chicago officially opened? The connection stretched approximately 950 miles, using heavy-gauge copper wire to make long-distance communication possible!

☎️ Alexander Graham Bell, the inventor of the telephone, took part in the opening ceremony at the AT&T main office at 18 Cortland Street in New York City.

🦌 For us as Elks, Bell’s story is especially interesting because he is reported to have been associated with the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks. His legacy reminds us of the ingenuity, progress, and dedication that have helped shape American history.
From the early days of long-distance calls to the technology we use today, October 18 marks an incredible milestone in communication history!

🇺🇸🦌 DID YOU KNOW? A LITTLE ELKS HISTORY! 🦌🇺🇸

Have you ever wondered how the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks began?

The Elks organization was founded on February 16, 1868, in New York City. It started with a small group of actors and entertainers who originally called themselves the Jolly Corks. After realizing the importance of helping those in need, they decided to build an organization centered on fellowship, charity, and service to others.

❤️ The Four Cardinal Principles of the Elks are:
🇺🇸 Charity
⚖️ Justice
🤝 Brotherly Love
⭐ Fidelity

Throughout its history, the Elks have worked to make a difference by supporting veterans, providing scholarships, encouraging youth programs, and helping communities across America.

Here at Niagara Falls Elks Lodge No. 346, we are proud to be part of this long-standing tradition! From supporting our local youth to bringing people together through community events, we continue to carry forward the spirit of giving and fellowship.

Being an Elk is about more than belonging to an organization — it's about making a difference in the lives of others. ❤️
