Our hearts are still smiling from yesterday's visitors! 🫎🫎

A mama moose and her twin babies wandered through the property, giving us a front-row seat to one of Alaska's sweetest sights. Twin calves are a rare treat, and we felt lucky to witness them exploring together.

It's just another beautiful day at Cook Inlet Cabins. ❤️

🫎 Moose on the Loose! 🫎

Just after midnight last night, one of Alaska's most famous residents decided to take a stroll through Cook Inlet Cabins!

This beautiful moose emerged from the trees, wandered past the Brown Bear Cabin, and continued its late-night journey right by the Midnight Sun Cabin. Talk about a memorable midnight visitor!

One of the things we love most about life here in Ninilchik is that nature is never far away. You never know what incredible wildlife you might spot during your stay—from moose and eagles to porcupines and more.

Moments like these remind us why we love calling this place home and why we're so excited to share it with our guests.

What a day at Cook Inlet Cabins! 🫎🏔️
Today, we spotted FOUR moose on the property! Three were down by the water, and one wandered right up near our trees. As if that wasn't exciting enough, we also had a porcupine stop by for a visit!
One of the things we love most about life here in Ninilchik is that you never know what wildlife you'll see next. From moose and porcupines to eagles, shorebirds, and more, nature is all around you.

Meet the faces behind Cook Inlet Cabins! 🏔️

Hi! We’re Sam and Chelsea Neighbors — the owners, dreamers, coffee-drinkers, road-trippers, and cabin hosts behind Cook Inlet Cabins.

Some people fall in love with Alaska once. We just never got over it.
From the mountains and wildlife to the peaceful beauty of the Kenai Peninsula, Alaska completely captured our hearts years ago — but there’s something especially special about Ninilchik. The views, the slower pace, the people, the feeling of being able to breathe a little deeper… it just feels like home to us.
And honestly, that’s exactly what we hope Cook Inlet Cabins becomes for others too.

We love meeting new people, hearing their stories, and creating a place where guests feel welcome the minute they arrive. Sam has never met a stranger in his life — if you stop to talk to him, prepare for a full conversation and probably a few fishing stories. 😂 Chelsea is the one making sure everything feels cozy, comfortable, and ready for you to relax the second you walk through the door.
