2026 GUIDED HALIBUT REGULATIONS are set:

AREA 3A - Southcentral Alaska

Daily Bag Limit: Two Halibut per person/per day

Size Restriction: One Halibut may be any size; the second Halibut must be 27 inches or less

Day Closures: No Halibut retention allowed on all Wednesdays. And no Halibut retentions on Tuesdays between June 2nd and August 25th.

2025 Halibut Regulations for Area 3A
(includes Deep Creek/Ninilchik):

• 2 Halibut per day, one of which must be less than 27 inches
• If retaining only 1 Halibut per day, the fish may be of any
length
• Tuesday and Wednesday closures throughout 2025

SALMONFEST CAMPING INFORMATION AUG 4-6, 2023
All cabins and electric RV sites are reserved for Salmonfest weekend.

Tent camping will be available on a "first come, first served" basis in the 10-acre field.
It is $100 for the weekend, Thursday-Monday.
FIELD CAMPING DOES NOT OPEN UNTIL THURSDAY MORNING

Please pay at the office upon arrival.

- 2 Halibut per day (no annual limit)
- 1 Halibut any size; the other Halibut under 28"
- No Halibut fishing on all Wednesdays
- No Halibut fishing Tuesdays from June 20th through August 15th

2022 Halibut Regulations:

* Two fish limit with a maximum size of 28 inches for one fish and no size limit for the other fish

* A closure to Pacific Halibut retention on all Wednesdays

* A closure to Pacific Halibut retention on two Tuesdays (July 26th and August 2nd)

* A limit of one trip per vessel per day

* A limit of one trip per Charter Pacific Halibut Permit per day
