For those of you who haven't been following us, this property was purchased just over a year ago, the old cabin was tore down, and we put in a basement foundation.
This BEAST was then moved from another location at our resort to the new foundation.
So here is a quick (as I can) tour of the inside of cabin 9 and planned renovations.....

I say not too shabby for a couple days of work....

-We've got the kitchen and the fireplace area tore out.
-A new big window put in the kitchen, which will become the dining room.
-A couple of other windows replaced.
-Lakefront door is in.
-West side is wrapped along with a little bit of siding put up.
- Decking is on all the decks.

Yesterday we got some more hydroseeding done, and began taking down the big maple between cabins one and two.

Unfortunately, many of the maples that we have on the property have roots that can cause damage when they are too close to buildings and septic components.

I don't think this one is causing any foundation issues, but I know when we redid our septic a couple of years ago, the tank by this tree was filled with roots. Now they are trying to creep back into the new tank so it's time for it to go!

We have also been winterizing boats, most of the dock is out, and tomorrow, the guys come back to continue working on cabin nine!

This is where we are at this morning!
We are trying to get the front done as soon as possible to see if we can maybe get away with doing some more hydroseeding before it gets too cold 🤞🤞🤞
Because I'll tell you what I think about sod! 👎👎👎
We are going to try to avoid that if at all possible!

A good morning it is!
Look at all that green space -
hydroseeding for the win! Im a huge fan of it for sure.
We had materials delivered yesterday and no rain in the forecast. Time to make this place beautiful! 😍

Not much going on lately, we've had material delays and rain!

Although we did sneak away to the Hackensack Chainsaw Event this weekend for a bit and caught the last half of Sunday's auction....
Not 💯 percent sure what we're gonna do with this 😎 guy yet, but I have a couple of different options in my mind!

Here are some AI renderings so you can get a sense of what we have planned for cabin 9.
If you've ever used AI for something like this, you know how difficult it is. It has a mind of its own and does what it wants, so sometimes it's best to quit while you're ahead!
So if you are detail oriented, you might notice some silly things in there that don't quite make sense or things missing, but that's just me quitting while I was ahead! 😅🤣

Alright, I guess the rain held out enough yesterday for most of the day! Weve got the house fully on the foundation!

Im guessing they still have a days worth of work to do on the underside, they also still need to pull the big moving beams out (as you can see on the walk out end and MAY have noticed in previous photos, there are big notches in the the basement where the beams are pushed through).

Also, a quick glance inside, I dont think ANY sheetrock cracked! I can't believe it!

This thing is going to look sooo much better when we are done with it!
