Lucas came to town..
What was the Glacial Gold Hunter doing in Nome Alaska?
Well, he and his prospecting friend The Flour Gold Wizard had an idea.
"Let's see for our self"
So, they got in touch with a few people up here in Nome, myself being one of them and made a plan to mine Nome beach gold for a few days and share their Adventures.

Well well, what a week. I traveled over one hundred miles on a four wheeler across the Alaskan tundra to visit and mine an old claim that has be producing gold for over the past 50 years. It was a grueling difficult ride. But to be able to mine where the Old Timers did was worth all the bumps and body aches.
Was there and do to heavy rains was only able to mine for about three hours. The river flooded over night and tore up the dredge. We spent a good part of my final day repairing the equipment but managed to get about 3 hours on the hose. Pics below.
A 10 grammar popped right out in the first load and I couldn't have been happier. By the end we got just over 20 grams in the very short time I had.
But as soon as the water dropped to a safe level to cross my guide said we had to leave.

On my return to my camp back in Nome Ak. I found my new guests had arrived safely.
You might know these guys.
Jason The Flour Gold Wizard from Wisconsin a well known You Tuber and Lucas Lundgren from the Glacial Gold Hunter channel.

I sent them on there way to the beach with the mini high banker given to camp by none other than David Peterson from the Miracle Mat company.

A couple of days beach mining with my new guest Ethan Bushinger. We killed it !!!
This was Ethans first time mining in Alaska. I know it was a struggle with Bad weather but he truged through it and had a good time.
