Art has a way of bringing people together.

We're excited to welcome Kintsugi: Mended, Not Hidden to Studio B at Hotel Downstreet, featuring the work of artists Patricia Symonds and Lyn Horton.

Inspired by the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold, this exhibition explores healing, renewal, and the beauty of creating something new.

Featured works include:

Patricia Symonds: Soaked Through, Hanji paper (Joomchi)

Lyn Horton: Following My Bliss, Aqua Gouache

The exhibition opened October 16 and will remain on display through January 15, 2027.

Make a weekend of it in North Adams.

This Friday, October 9, MASS MoCA welcomes HUG: Devendra Banhart at 8 PM in the Hunter Center. Then on Saturday, October 10, experience Hacia Cuando: An Opera, along with an In Conversation event with artist Daniela Rivera.

Start Saturday morning at the North Adams Farmers Market, happening right on Main Street from 9 AM–1 PM, then spend the day exploring downtown, taking in the fall colors and visiting MASS MoCA.

Add in a cozy place to come back to at the end of the day, and you’ve got a pretty great Berkshire weekend.

Duke has heard there’s a dog costume parade coming to downtown North Adams.

Fall Foliage Weekend kicks off Thursday with the annual Fall Foliage Dog Costume Parade, followed by a weekend filled with downtown events, fall color and one of North Adams’ favorite traditions — the Fall Foliage Parade on Sunday.

It’s a pretty great time to be in the Berkshires, whether you have four legs or two.

Last week, we celebrated Housekeeping Appreciation Week at Hotel Downstreet.

Our housekeeping team plays such an important role in the guest experience, and we’re grateful for the care, hard work and attention they bring to the hotel every day.
