Thank you everyone for coming out the 250th Celebration. It was a beautiful day and I believe that was a record attendance for the Edgefield County Historical Society annual meeting. Thank you for your presence, words of support, and the many wonderful stories and ideas you shared with me.

Celebration time is here. Tomorrow is predicted to be sunny and warm, so dress comfortably. Please feel free to park at TrueNorth Church, 1060 W Martintown Rd, North Augusta. The North Augusta Trolley will shuttle guests to and from the sites in 20 minutes trips starting at 12pm.

The cannon and muskets salute will be at the start of the program at 1pm. Arrive early. Chef Redd will have BBQ specially priced for us tomorrow, and the North Augusta Garden Club and DAR will be providing finger foods.

Had the privilege to attend the Celebration of Life ceremony for a man I respected and admired. Praying for the continued strength of the McGhee family in the loss of their patriarch, Mr. William McGhee. The McGhee's, via David McGhee and Sitec Construction, breathed life into and kickstarted the current full scale renovation of the Charles Hammond House. God bless the McGhee family and friends.
