LBI Beach Life

It was definitely soup weather.

And that’s another Beach Haven Chowder Cook-Off in the books!

To everyone who braved the rain, tasted, voted, and came out to support our community, job well done. 👏

There really are no losers when it’s all for a good cause, but we do have some winners!

Your 2026 Chowder Champs:

🏆 RED CHOWDER
🏆 WHITE CHOWDER

Congratulations to both and to everyone who participated!

That wraps up a busy weekend on LBI. Next weekend, the 🪁 take over Ship Bottom!

Until next time, LBI. Thanks for another great weekend!

Some places hold stories.

Before D’Fortuna, there was La Spiaggia.

For years, this dining room was part of the story of Long Beach Island. First dates. Anniversaries. Summer dinners. Family traditions. And countless evenings gathered around the table.

As this familiar Ship Bottom restaurant becomes D’Fortuna, we do so with respect for the restaurant, its history, and the many people who made memories here.

We aren’t erasing what came before. We’re honoring it while creating something new.

The name is changing. The memories remain. And a new story is being written.

October soft-opening reservations are now live on Resy.
