If you grew up in the Pittsburgh area, chances are you remember Paul Shannon’s Carnival Kit.

Did you ever have a backyard or neighborhood carnival? Did you send away for the Carnival Kit?

I remember we had our own carnival on Otto Street in Belle Vernon. My brother and sisters worked hard putting it together, collected about $10 in pennys, nickels and dimes and proudly mailed it in, hoping we’d make it on Adventure Time. We never made the show—but the memories have lasted a lifetime!
