Thanks to Bob and Todd from Boost Southwest Oregon for donating some funds for our CASA program! Boost Southwest Oregon is comprised of Oregonians from the business community and organized labor working together for a more prosperous Southern Oregon economy.

Every penny counts towards helping us continue to serve children in foster care in our communities. Every child who has a CASA volunteer has a much better chance at a successful adult life. You can be part of that support by volunteering to become a CASA or supporting our program with a donation.

Boxcar Hill Campground invites you to meet our new resident camp hosts, Terence & Alissa Hennessey, during your next stay with us. Terence & Alissa live by the Golden Rule and embody an infectious level of positivity. They are excited to serve our guests and enhance their camping experience.
Terence & Alissa are a newlywed couple with an adult son living in Washington. They are proud dog lovers and have two friendly little pups: Dinah and Keido.

There was an unfortunate event that took place on our property at Boxcar Hill Campground over Mother’s Day Weekend. The incident involved threats of physical violence. These threats and personal attacks on character were made against a member of our staff by an individual staying with a guest party. We don’t take an incident like this lightly. Threats of violence are unacceptable under any circumstances.
A Coos County Deputy was initially dispatched and notified the party to vacate. However, he had to return a second time as harassment and threatening behavior continued in his absence. Finally, the party vacated the premises prior to the deputy’s return. The incident was captured on video and has been made available to law enforcement.
As owners, we must act in a responsible manner with uncompromising regard for the safety of our guests and personnel. In our effort to improve the customer experience for all guests, a member of ownership will be onsite engaging campers and leading staff to ensure we provide a safe, friendly and enjoyable place to ride on the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area.
