SATURDAY - Over 100 runners are getting ready to race Mt. Washington Cog Railway Trains to the summit! The Elite Heat steps off at 8:00, followed by Intermediate and Chill starts at 8:30 and 9:00. As hard as the work can be, having such a drop-dead magnificent office environment is just one of the many perks of a job on Mount Washington. With just a few days left before the big Race The Cog event on Saturday, our track crew was on the hill again yesterday clearing the route by removing more debris left over from our recently completed re-railing project. Engineer Josh Bishop took a moment to send this shot of last night's sunset.

Of all the things we love about working at the Cog Railway, the diversity of the weather on Mount Washington is at the top of the list! For instance, yesterday afternoon, MW9 (our c.1908 steam locomotive) sat proudly at the summit as a spectacular rainbow formed below.
