And if you’re wondering what’s happening here, our General Manager, Trevor Sullivan, is marking the occasion with ch*****ne sabering! Known as sabrage, this celebratory tradition is often traced to Napoleon’s cavalry officers, who opened ch*****ne with their sabers. A well-placed strike releases the cork and glass lip together—and here’s the surprising part: it’s the impact and the pressure inside the bottle that do the work, rather than a sharp blade.
