This weekend we had the privilege of hosting a couple from Scotland, who traveled to the US to watch their favorite football team. They raved about the hospitality in the USA and how wonderful their stay has been thus far. The week before they were part of this lively crew in Boston. I found this post from the Boston Globe, and I couldn't have said it better myself. They were headed off to Miami for the next game. I wish them well in their travels⚽️ I also shared the wonderful review that they left for us.

I found this cool article regarding Stewart's Pond/ The Goose Pond. It was in the North Creek News Enterprise on Wednesday August 16th, 1939. The article is entitled "Remodeling Pool." It's not the greatest picture, but it reads: "Workmen of the town have drained Stewart's Pond and are doing extensive work there cleaning it out and preparing it for a swimming pool for the children of the town." I have to wonder whatever happened to that plan, while still being grateful that we have the pond.

We got extremely lucky today. We did not lose power during the storm, and we ended up with some additional guests. I decided to try something new today! I baked some lemon blueberry sugar cookies, and boy did they turn out super sweet!! Can't wait to share my new recipe with our new guests ☺️
